Time Management Tips For Busy People
Work, family, studies, self care, hobbies… There’s just so much to do and so little time to get it all done! Time management is a struggle many busy people face. The following time management tips will help you balance your work life and other daily activities.
Write a To-Do-List
Planning in advance is essential in managing your time. A To-do-List is organized and will help you keep track of what still needs to be done. If possible plan for the day, week and month.
Do the most important and urgent things first. When working on your to-do-list try to add deadlines and urgency to help you prioritize.
In between tasks take time out to recharge. Go for a walk, stretch, have a refreshing drink or snack on something healthy. You will be more productive if you relieve some of the stress that comes with being so busy.
Exercise helps the body get rid of stress. It also improves your mood and helps you to sleep better. Without enough sleep you’re not able to function at your best so make sure you also get plenty of rest if you want to get things done!
Do not take on more than you can handle. If you know you don’t have the capacity to take on any more tasks then Say No. Or judge whether someone else can manage it and if so pass it on to them.
Avoid Non-productive Activities
If it’s not on the to-do-list, Don’t Do it! Avoid being distracted by non-productive activities that take you away from the work at hand. They waste precious time and slow you down. Schedule time for social media, video games and socialising for later on when your tasks are complete, and also limit that time to stay on track with your goals.
